Exploring talent and abilities for the Morochos' kids

Exploring talent and abilities
As our kids grow we are learning their talents and strengths so that we can train them in the knowledge of God. Our kids had been involved in several activities.

Hope homes school Co-ops dessert contest
This semester Joshua began his kindergarten in the home schooling setting.  To stimulate fellowship with other homeschooler children, we join “Hope” a group of homeschooling families.  Under the supervision of our good friend Melinda, Joshua made a delicious dessert which he named “Jello Sprinkle” because he decorated with colorful sprinkles. The dessert was made of whipped cream, pineapple chuck, and jello power. The time for announcing the winners came, we were chatting but what a surprise Joshua Morocho was called to receive his recognition for the first place and most fashionable in the category K-3. It was a big
surprise for all of us.

Joshua piano recital 2010 fall
During his free time, Joshua practices piano. He has been taking piano for three semesters. It has been fun to see his progress, but challenge for both Joshua as he practice and Vicky supervise him. The first recital Joshua played with his teacher, the second time was planned to play alone, but it turns out, he was very nervous in from a big crown with big people as he commented. This time, Joshua played with Vicky. The
piece is called “Jingle Bell”

Bible Scripture Memorization
Another talent God has given to Joshua is Bible scripture memorization. Joshua has memorized several scripture passages.  It has been delightful to hear him quoting bible verses since he was three years old. He enjoys going around reciting his memorized bible verses to friends around the campus. But one thing he has tried but unfortunately without success is recite to a big crowd. Just recently he tried to do it but failed again. This time he said “I can do it since I am five now.” The first time he tried it, he was four years old.

World Vision Project
Joshua has a tender heart for the needy people. A few months ago, he began a challenge in his life. World mission displayed in Baptist Temple Church a boost with needy children from all over the world. Vicky and Milton approach the boost to see the display. Joshua right ask us what it was about. We explained him, so he immediately grabbed a photo of child and he did not wanted put it back. He said he want to support that child. Since then, he has selling goodies to support his friend , Siphelo, from South Africa.
